Part-Time Statue

My cheeks are pink, fleshy, and soft, but

at times, if touched, you may feel grit,

the kind that dries the skin, stealing moisture.

My insides work, pumping and gyrating to function, but

my face can be, at times, unmovable and expressionless.

Stony reflection; perfectly chipped. No bronze plaque attached
